Guest post by Suzy Walsh, the chief editor for The House of Elegance Fashion

Can you have enough of shoes? Not really! Every season, there’s something new to shop in shoes. Runway trends dictate the market, and while you may have a few personal favorites, some of these trends do work better than others. In this post, we are sharing some of the best shoe trends from 2021 spring and summer collections, with tips on rocking these styles.

Flatforms are back

Not every girl is fond of stilettos and high heels. If you are one of the lazy fashionistas, this is the only trend you need in 2021. Flatforms are easy to wear all day long, and more importantly, you can team flatforms with almost anything. Tod’s, Erdem, and Ulla Johnson were some of the labels that worked with the idea. You can view more here to find trending dresses, shoes, and flatforms.

Twisted Flip-Flops

Flip-Flops got a makeover for 2021. These are not your standard Flip-Flops, but meant to ooze style with different designs and inspirations. Tom Ford and Coperni are two brands you can check for this trend. Flip-flops work just fine for almost anything casual. Team your Flip-Flops with a short skirt, or keep things casual with a summery dress – The choice is yours. Not to forget, the comfort of Flip-Flops is hard to match.

Slide in Sandals

Sandals and slides are again in vogue, and this is one trend that’s super easy to sport. Sandals come in all styles and designs, but two-strap sandals and slides were particularly popular on the runways. You can try these shoes with your wide-legged and flared pants, with denims, skirts, and even shorts. When you want to feel feminine and want the comfort of Crocs, this is what you need.

Ballet flats are ideal for days when you want the shoes to hug your feet. Many top labels and designers, including Simon Rocha and Dolce & Gabbana, worked with the idea in many ways. These are not your typical ballet shoes, and you can consider keeping a pair handy for your next date!

Slip-On Clogs

Spring 2021 was a lot about comfortable shoes, and this season, many labels went all out to include some classics in their shows. Slip-On Clogs are a new rage in the fashion world. Some of these clogs were in pastel and nice colors, while others were funkier and meant for casual days. Nevertheless, you cannot go wrong with Slip-On Clogs!

A quick mention about retro-style sneakers that were seen in collections of brands like Lacoste. Surprisingly, a lot of spring trends made so much sense this year, and you can find most of them on online stores. There is something for everyone to choose from, and comfort was easily the top factor besides styling.
