Patagonia Launches ReCrafted, a New Collection of Upcycled Gear
Patagonia just launched ReCrafted, a collection of upcycled Patagonia garments the brand collects through its Worn Wear initiative.
Patagonia has already been offering repair services for quite some time, but ReCrafted is a new process that finds a way to repurpose items that are beyond repair and are destined for the landfill. ReCrafted collection features T-shirts, tote bags, classic down vests and jackets, sweaters, and even a tool kit. Each item is crafted from three to six used items of clothing that were sorted at Patagonias Reno Repair Center, then de-constructed and re-designed in Los Angeles.
The ReCrafted collection will be available on Patagonia’s WornWear.com and at the first Worn Wear pop-up store in Boulder, Colorado from November 14 until February 2020. The Worn Wear pop-up will also offer used Patagonia products, as well as repair and upcycle workshops.
